Attilio Sommella is a dental technician from Naples, Italy specialized in the aesthetics of fixed prosthetics. He has held various presentations as a lecturer at several Italian universities. In addition he is a renowned international speaker on the topic of aesthetics, who has published many articles in the international dental press. Furthermore he is the inventor of a simplified work process for ceramics by the name of “Le schede incisali” (translated “Incisal Cards“ ) that was patented in 1999. His first book with the titel “Il margine incisale, punto di forza nell’espressione di un incisivo”, (translated “The incisal edge, cornerstone and expressiveness of an incisor“) was published in Italian by Teamwork Media Srl and in English by Palmeri Publishing Inc. in Canada. Attilio Sommella is a member of the scientific advisory board of both Dental Dialogue and Teamwork Media. He is the winner of the Aiop-Antlo award “Roberto Polcan” 2006 and is the co-author of the book “Veneers. Ricostruzioni mini-invasive. Aspetti clinico-tecnici “ (translated “Veneers. Minimally invasive Restaurations. Restaurations, clinical and technical aspects“) that was published by Teamwork Media and translated into various languages. He is currently finalizing his studies in dental medicine at the “Istituto Superior de Cièncias da Saude-Norte“ ( Portugal).
